Record Retention Policies

Wetterer & Co.'s client record retention policy is 7 years. The Firm will only keep terminated clients’ documents for 3 years. The 3 years is defined as 3 years from the last Federal income tax return prepared. See examples below:

2015 Tax Return         10/15/2016 - 10/15/2019 -(2019 is the end of record retention)

2014 Tax Return         10/15/2015 - 10/15/2018 -(2018 is the end of record retention)

2013 Tax Return         10/15/2014 - 10/15/2017 -(2017 is the end of record retention)
